You Matter Mantras

  • Trauma sucks. You don't.
  • Write to express not to impress.
  • It's not trauma informed if it's not informed by trauma survivors.

    I’m hurting bad.
    Lack of sleep,
    Trauma night terrors.
    People lying.
Me not strong enough to know what really happened,
    or the rest of it.
    Body and soul inflamed.
    Work goes undone another day.
    Kids deserve better,
    Inside kids and outside ones.
