Celebrate & Re-calibrate: Days 11, 12, 13, & 14

Days 11, 12, 13 & 14:

This, for so many, is childhood. Bearing silence, secrecy, and shame which means joy, attachment, and freedom are inaccessible. Writing, for so many, is healing and health, allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and one another. There are so many Sherpas, warriors, storytellers, journalists, researchers and change makers who have led the way.

Today, basking in poetry, spoken word, podcasts, and fiction I’m so glad for the truth-telling that has happened and is always happening, in life and in literature. I’m taking a few days to be a mom, to rest and recalibrate. But I’ll be back. Always!

You Matter Mantras

  • Trauma sucks. You don't.
  • Write to express not to impress.
  • It's not trauma informed if it's not informed by trauma survivors.
  • Breathing isn't optional.
