I’m thrilled to offer a workshop in Dedham, MA through the Riverside Trauma Center in Massachusetts. It will be held in Dedham, MA and I’ll be speaking as a parent-writer-trauma survivor perspective about ACEs and parenting with post-traumatic stress.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

The talk, geared mostly to clinicians and social workers and I’m eager to talk about parenting with ACEs (this group and in general).<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>How do adults abused as children go on to become effective parents? The author speaks from a combination of personal and professional experiences as writer, mother, reporter, parent via adoption and trauma survivor. For most of her adult life she\u2019s been exploring how to live, love and parent well after being raised in hell. She shares data, stories, insights and a surprisingly upbeat and humorous perspective of parenthood and adult life after adverse childhood experiences.<\/p>\n
