I’ve got a chance next month to speak with a large agency that serves 30,000 people who have in one or more ways been seriously impacted by trauma. And who have little or no money.<\/p>\n
I believe the best thing that can be done when trying to help someone is to ask, “What helps you?”<\/p>\n
This benefits me as well – being asked.<\/p>\n
In personal settings or in professional settings – if someone is wanting to support my growth, development or goals it’s nice if we have a conversations.<\/p>\n
Too often, I find this missing from organizations who claim to be trauma sensitive and to serve trauma survivors.<\/p>\n
