Dear Patty:
Even your comments are poetic! Thank you. We can’t not know or feel the severity and hugeness of loss and it makes the backseat sob factor and the unshed tears bubbling up factor get all mixed up at times. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it and love your writing voice! Cissy

This entry was so beautiful, so heart wrenching, so exquisitely written and felt, I swung back and forth between loving the words and feeling the
painful feelings, over and over again, and on so many levels. I think that being a trauma survivor of familial trauma (not just a car crash or broken back) but of a broken and twisted family makes a tragedy like this so multi-layered that it is like the tallest wedding cake, but with slippery frosting: you can see your whole life in retrospect, in the rear view mirror, heading for disaster from miles away…

Wanting to crawl into the back seat and sob really hit me—I’m there so often…. I’ve got a mind full of trauma and am not so mindful anymore.

Hugs,
Patty
