SO many of us (especially women) feel lucky to marry a great man and don’t think of the man as lucky to find us too, so we are always the ones trying to compromise and give it our all. Sometimes that mean we allow ourselves to be abused, sometimes we just get marginalized. I’m sorry you are in this sad place so many of us are in, divorced when we really really didn’t want to be – it’s a lonely place. You seem pretty level headed and congrats on handling it all so well. Your kids are very lucky either way to have you!
